Karaoke Night!

Heather, Madison, and Garrett are in town from FL! Heather is Ronnie's daughter and Madison and Garratt are Heather's children. Madison is a regular Karaoke singer down in FL, so we wanted a performance here in MD!
Madison was not the only one who sang that night, we also had performances from Heather, Donna and myself. Plus lots of dancing and DRINKING! lol
Overall it was a fun night.

Madison singing one of Hanna Montana songs. She would put her hands on her hip and shake her hips. It was truly a wonderful performance.

Heather and Madison singing "Before he Cheats" by Carrie Underwood! They did really good!

Ok so then it was my turn! I enjoyed singing so much. Thanks for letting me sing!

Below are 5 videos of different people singing. It was truly a great night and I hope to have many more there.

1 Year Anniversary!

Wow 1 Year! The time has gone by so fast! Chris and I had a low key anniversary. He had a softball playoff game that he needed to go to, which meant for us a late night dinner. Kevin came over as a surprise to Chris and cooked for the both of us. Thank you Kevin, it was really good!

Here we are doing the norm of cutting the cake on the One Year Anniversary! Thanks to Auto camera we were able to get a couple shots.

Chris couldn't wait any longer to give me my present, so he gave it to me the night before our anniversary.

It is the ring that I have wanted for over 2 years now. It is part of my birthstone set. He saved up and bought it for me! What a sweet guy. Thank you Chris!

This is Seared Ahi Tuna with a baby microgreens salad. It was amazing! Just enough to get the taste, but not too mcuh. Kevin plated it for us. It looks just as nice as it tasted!

The top of the cake. Well after a year it didn't taste the same. The cake part tasted pretty good, but the icing not so much. We had a piece, and the rest is in the trash.

This is Salmon stuffed with a crab infused duxelle and roasted matchstick vegtables and oregano cream. Kevin also plated this and to my surprise it was still warm when we ate it. It was yummy!

Brad Paisley Concert

Chris and I joined Kevin, Jenny and a couple of their friends for the Brad Paisley Concert. We were invited last minute because two of other friends couldn't make it.

It was so much fun! We went down early and pregamed it. We hung out for hours before the concert and drank and had lots of food. It was really good. I did have to bring my own food so that I was eating healthy. Just really chillin and having a good time.

Brad was really amazing. Little did I know but he is a really good guitarist! He rocked it out for about an hour. His opening acts were Julianne Hough, Chuck Wicks, and Jewel.

We had lawn seats, which were really good. Thanks to Kim we were right up at the front of the lawn.

Ginger and Cinnamon!

Ok so I know we have tons of pictures of them, but they are our babies right now. So I hope you enjoy.

Cinnamon curled herself up in the blanket so that she was completely covered but her head. It was way too cute.

This was the start of her curling herself up in the blanket.

Here she is completely in the cave of a blanket that she created. She was just laying there while Chris took the pictures like she was saying I know I am cute so please take pictures.

Of course we had to take a picture of Ginger too. In the next month or so I will be taking a lot of pictures of her because she will be having her right eye (the left if you are looking at her) removed. We found out about 3 weeks ago that she has Glaucoma in her eye. Without being medicated it is like having a migraine. We have medication for her and have scheduled a date for the surgery. Please keep her in your prayers. It is going to take a lot of getting used to without that eye.

Cinnamon got tired and decided to lay on her toy instead of playing with it.

Ginger found it comfy to lay on my lap while watching TV. She really enjoys that.

Note:I really don't like this picture of me, but I think the idea is really cute. Cinnamon on many occasions likes to help me exercise. This time she was an added 10 pounds to my stomach for my crunches. She thought that this was a game because I kept coming close than far. So she started to play with me right after this picture was taken.

Chris, Cinnamon, and Ginger all sleeping together. This is normal for when we are home. Both dogs really like to be around us all the time. We both enjoy having them around us.

So much for clean clothes. Cinnamon loves to join me for folding up clean clothes. I don't know what it is, but there is not a load that she doesn't lay on right when I take it out. It doesn't even have to be warm. I guess she likes all the extra pillows.

Both dogs are in great health, with the exception of Ginger's eye. Cinnamon is as cute as ever, but can be a pain in the butt. We never know what we are coming home to. We have started to crate them together during the day. The Vet suggested us not to do that until Ginger gets her eye out, since it can cause aggression towards Cinnamon. We have tried to cage just Cinnamon, but she whines too much and it bothers Ginger. So until Ginger is better, no crating for now. We just have to make sure that everything that she can possibly get into is put away.

Chris's Birthday Dinner! Just the two of US!

Chris turns 23! Well not at the time, but today he does!

We decided on Saturday that the both of us really needed a night out and decided to go to Friday's for his birthday. It was perfect. We both did really well picking out healthy options on the menu. Over all it was a nice relaxing evening.

We attempted to take shots of ourselves. Out of like 5 only 2 came out good. We are getting better at this though.

Then our waiter saw that we wanted a picture and offered to take on for us. Thank you Bobby!

They sang Happy Birthday to Chris and it wasn't your normal song, the only thing that I remember is a part about him getting old, which I really thought was funny. Since I am 5 months older than him. Overall a great evening. We will be celebrating his birthday with his family on Wednesday. Pictures to come.

The 4th of July!

The 4th of July!
Man the time does fly! Chris and I had no real plans for the 4th because he had a paper to write for his class. So when Kevin invited us over for a BBQ we gladly went.

This everyone chilling before the food is served. Chris ate enough for the both of us. I only ate the fruit because I started the LA weight loss plan and I didn't want to stray away from it.

This is all of the food that was there. Kevin being a chef has always had good food. Too bad I couldn't have any. Jenny (Kevin's girlfriend) parents are in the picture.

This is Chris and Me at the BBQ. We both were wearing red tops in light of the holiday. I was also wearing navy shorts and white shoes, but those you can't see.

For the fireworks Chris and I watched them with the dogs from the front of our apartment. They were close enough that we could see all but a few, but far enough away that the loud noise only bothered me a little. Let me tell you there is nothing like hearing them start walking about 500 feet and standing there to watch them, then walk right back to you house. No traffic, no extra people, no staking out, and only really 20 mins.

Bethany Beach!

Chris and I joined his family for a long weekend at Bethany Beach. We went down from Friday to Monday afternoon. It was a much needed vacation.

Chris and I at the restaurant the first night we got there. His family was so happy that we got down to the beach with enough time to have a late dinner. After dinner we all went back to the townhouse and crashed for the night.

Chris and I in front of the water outside the restaurant.

Chris, His Mother, His Grandmother and I all played cards for a couple of games. Here Chris is trying to get some sun on his back for the first day out at the beach.

Chris drove both ways because I don't like to drive his car. Here he is driving home on the Bay Bridge. At this point I got a little picture happy so I have tons of pictures of the Bay bridge, but I only posted a couple.

This is Everyone still playing cards. Chris got really burnt on his back and I got burnt on my legs from sitting in the sun. Both Chris and I stayed under the umbrella for part of the day.

Me on the Bay bridge on the way home. I had a wonderful time but I was ready to be home with my doggies.

Chris and I were able to do a couple things that we had planned. We actually go to the outlets on Saturday and was able to pick up some really cheap deals. On Sunday I was able to get my nails done. Though the heat really got to me on the second day. I was not used to be out in the sun that much with the heat. I did drink lots of water and ate healthy all weekend.

Chris and I rented bikes for the weekend. I was determined to workout while on vacation. We would get up early so that we were ready to go to the beach with everyone else. It was nice to have a change of exercise. Though my butt hurt from the seat!
